My journey to Rolfing® was a long one. I have always had a passion for knowing and understanding the human body and the human experience. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2015 which led me to work for companies such as Terumo Cardiovascular and NSF International. In those experiences I found my laboratory life and professional MMA life did not feed each other. I needed to find a way in which my passion for science could work with my love of martial arts.I was investigating different routes I could take when I found the concept of Rolfing.
Rolfing® addresses many areas of the body including the jaw. Getting sports massages was a regular part of my self-care routine but Rolfing sounded next level to me. I decided to give it a try and the results were astonishing. My neck and shoulders felt better than before my injury and I could talk again without pain. The results were so impactful I started recommending Rolfing to my teammates at the gym. It was not long before I noticed a very large need for this kind of work within my community. My gut knew I was meant to help fill that gap for people. My love for martial arts and curiosity for understanding the human body and experience led me to the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute in Boulder where I began my training.
