Rolfing Community Research
We know that manual therapy works, and in combination with movement education and increased proprioception, those effects are even much better. RolfingCommunity's practitioners are also educated in modern neuroscience and trauma awareness and bring mindfulness coaching into their sessions. The old pseudoscience critique no longer applies, and our medical lead, Lu Mueller-Kaul, is available for questions at any time. She used to teach physiology, therapeutic relationships, and touch skills at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® and is co-author of their touch skills textbook, "The Rolfing® Skillful Touch Handbook".
Lu Mueller-Kaul is a board director for the International Fascia and Structural Integration Organization and Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation which started the International Fascia Research Congresses and founded the Fascia Research Society.
Currently, the Rolf Research Foundation sponsors and initiates research into structural integration in general. At the same time, the Fascia Research Society has organized international collaboration, conferences, and congresses, which have led to a global awareness of connective tissues that did not exist before.
